What You Can Do to Prevent Skin Cancer
As we celebrate Skin Cancer Awareness Month this May, we want to give you actionable ways to defend against this disease. Here are the two main things you should be doing.

Kim Neyman, MD, is a Board-Certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who treats patients of all ages, including pediatrics, with all types of skin concerns. Dr. Neyman brings extensive clinical experience and diagnostic expertise to Elevation Dermatology, and the community of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Dr. Neyman is dedicated to providing her patients with excellent dermatologic care in a friendly, comfortable environment. Her patients trust her for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of all skin conditions, including skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, and numerous other skin concerns. Dr. Neyman has advanced training in microscopic diagnostic techniques. She creates custom treatment plans for each person based on the precise details she can see under the microscope, also known as histology.
Dr. Neyman graduated summa cum laude in 2003 from Emory University in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and behavioral biology. She received her doctoral degree from the Medical College of Georgia and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.
Dr. Neyman subsequently completed her internship at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver before returning to her alma mater, Emory University, to complete her dermatology residency. Following her residency, Dr. Neyman served as a Fellow of dermatopathology and a clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of Chicago, where she obtained further advanced training in skin disease.
For the past 7 years, Dr. Neyman has been proud to call Denver home. She spends her free time running, hiking, biking, skiing, gardening, and cooking with her husband. She also enjoys volunteering on medical mission trips, most recently assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of dermatologic diseases in Kenya.
Dr. Neyman is Board-Certified by the American Academy of Dermatology.
